For the last four years, the United Way has hosted an all-you-can-eat ice cream fundraiser called Sunday Scoop. This summer CRA worked with BrickStreet Insurance to create a theme for the display, as part of the South Charleston, WV Summerfest. The theme chosen played off the Disney film “Finding Nemo.”

A number of scenes from the movie were utilized to bring the theme to life for attendees. The booth design put the visitor inside a fish tank, with “swimming” clown fish, a boat wreck and a treasure chest, complete with United Way gold coins and a bubble machine. The scuba diver on the right-hand side had a step stool behind it so kids could climb up and have their picture taken with their face as the diver. T-shirts also were designed using the phrase “Fish are friends, not food. Live United!” Employees who volunteered wore themed hats and gave away orange ink pens bent into the shape of a fish. Many folks found their way to the booth to eat the Shark Bait’s Best ice cream.
