D.C. Lottery wins Best Web Site award at national conference

The D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board won a Hickey Award for Best Web Site at the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) conference in Oklahoma City, October
6-9. Hickey Awards are presented annually to lotteries that emulate lottery
marketer Owen Hickey’s commitment through successful marketing efforts.
"Our objectives for the D.C. Lottery site were to make it more user friendly for the players and to better market the D.C. Lottery products," said Thad Smith, CRA account executive. "The functionality of the back-end is just as impressive as what you see when you visit the site. We are proud of the work and look forward to enhancing the site even more in the coming year."
In addition to the Hickey Award, Bruce Jones, D.C. Lottery director of information technology,
won a Powers Award and the D.C. Lottery won a Batchy Award in the category of
Retailer Signage/Merchandising for its “Lucky Mirrors” campaign with MDB
Communications.
