Virginia Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling visits CRA
CRA recently opened its doors in Charleston to host a forum for leaders in business, education and
government to hear Virginia Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling. A native of West Virginia and a graduate of the University of Charleston (WV), Bolling discussed his role as Lieutenant Governor and Chief Jobs Creation Officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
At the forum, Bolling explained the tactics, primarily tax incentives and labor laws, he uses to successfully attract business and jobs to his state. Specifically, he cited cases of national and international companies that have relocated their headquarters to Virginia to take advantage of the low taxes and business-friendly environment the Commonwealth offers.
“It was truly an honor to host Lt. Gov. Bolling. His leadership in Virginia to create jobs and build a business-friendly environment is a real inspiration,” said CRA President and CEO Pat Gallagher. “What I find most exciting is that the tactics he uses in Virginia could very well be applied in West Virginia. We have a tremendous opportunity here in the Mountain State.”
